Trooper Johnson arrests actress after Sundrop violations

FRANKLIN- Oscar-winning actress Reece Forkinspoon was arrested by State Trooper, Stanley Johnson Tuesday night in Franklin. Forkinspoon was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge, as well as smuggling Sundrop, a banned substance in Franklin.  In Johnson’s report,  Forkinspoon is said to have been unable to stay in the car while her husband, Mr. Moth, was being questioned about having consumed a Sundrop.

“I noticed the car wasn’t staying in its lane, like someone had way too much caffeine, so I was suspicious,” said Trooper Johnson. “Then I see that classic, green, cone-shaped bottle thrown out the window with the yellow and red letters. I knew then we had something serious. At about that time, I had a speeder go past them. Of course, this posed no problem; I pulled them both over, cited the speeder, and moved on to the more serious Sundrop situation. Instantly I noticed the driver’s breath had that familiar, sweet smell of citrus.  At that time, I instructed him to exit the vehicle.  The alert eyes were another dead giveaway, but most damning of all, my trusty Smokey the Bear ruler confirmed it. He had droopy man parts.”

Moth told the trooper he’d had a drink of Sundrop, which Forkinspoon said was consumed at a North Carolina gas station two hours before the traffic stop. Upon hearing this admission, Johnson informed the Sundrop imbibing couple that “I suppose you think because its available legally in North Carolina that its legal everywhere. Well I can tell you pretty much everything is legal in North Carolina, it’s the Wild West down there. You can drive around with 8 women topless in the back of your pickup without a one restrained by a seat belt, chugging Sundrop, discharging a firearm out the window, all while changing lanes without a signal and cruising in the left lane going 12 miles an hour down there, without any repercussions. But once you cross that line, you’re mine.”

Before the Smokey the Bear test began, the 37-year-old  Forkinspoon got out of the car, was told to get back in and obeyed, the report said.  After the “Walk the Line” star got out a second time, Johnson said he warned her that she would be arrested if she left the car again.

As the test continued, “Mrs.  Forkinspoon began to hang out the window and say that she did not believe that I was a real police officer.  I told Mrs. Forkinspoon to sit on her butt and be quiet, or face my steel toe boot” Trooper Johnson writes.

Moth, 42, was then placed under arrest. He was charged with driving under the influence of Sundrop, transporting Sundrop across state lines, littering, and possession of Sundrop for personal use.

At that point, the report says, Forkinspoon got out and asked the trooper what was going on. After being told to return to the car again, she stated that she “played a law student role once, and was pretty sure that she remembered from the film that you’re allowed to get out of your vehicle and harass an officer if you’re famous.”

The trooper then began to arrest Forkinspoon. The report says Forkinspoon resisted, and once she was cuffed, a 2-liter bottle of Sundrop shook loose from underneath her dress and fell to the ground. “At that point it became a felony offense,” stated Johnson. “A 20 ouncer can be written off to personal use, but a 2-liter is serious business. It appears she was a Sundrop mule for her Hollywood friends. She thought she’d sneak down to Carolina where a 12 year old can buy the stuff, and sneak it across so she and her friends could have a little Sundrop party.  Not in my great state.”

Over six 12-packs of canned Sundrop were later found in the couple’s Prius trunk.

“Do you know my name?” Forkinspoon is quoted as asking the trooper.  She also said: “You’re about to find out who I am,” and “You’re about to be on national news,” according to the report. To which Trooper Johnson replied, “Honey, obviously you don’t know who I am.  I’m Stanley M—– F—— Johnson, and I’m a much bigger celebrity than you’ll ever be!”

Moth and Forkinspoon were then taken to jail where they await arraignment on several felony Sundrop charges.
