FRANKLIN—Former O.P.P. OB-GYN doctor L. Bose Deep is suing the owner and Chief Female Body Inspector of O.P.P. OB-GYN, Dr. Coppin A. Feel, for the $600 value of his service speculum and $5,000 in punitive damages.
Dr. Deep filed his suit in Franklin General District Court because he wants to know why his speculum was kept from him after he retired in 2011 after more than 5 months in the department. OB-GYN guidelines allow for retired gynos to keep their equipment if they have at least 20 days of service. They can then purchase their service speculum for $1. However, those same guidelines prohibit the purchase of the Echotronix, a tool with the sole function of saying funny things into it and having the patient’s lady-parts repeat it back to you. “That’s not for public use,” said Dr. Feel. |

Records subpoenaed by Dr. L. Bose Deep showed that Dr. Coppin A. Feel found Dr. Deep’s former service speculum in the dumpster behind Franklin’s stationary OB-GYN clinic, The Love Pocket.
Dr. Deep believes the speculum wasn’t given to him because he has gone to the Franklin City Council in the past about questionable practices in the Cooter Scooter.
“He’s keeping it out of spite because I told on him to City Council,” Dr. L. Bose Deep said. “He knows the OB-GYN guidebook doesn’t recommend you incapacitate your patient before examination. I was the only one who didn’t knock my patients out cold, I got them liquored up instead.”
Dr. Feel didn’t return a phone call Tuesday asking for comment.
Dr. Deep will represent himself during a hearing at 1 p.m. Friday, October 19.
